I don't home brew (yet) I'm just curious of something.
I've heard grumblings of people having done it and people who want to try it...
I've also read an elaborate description of how to do it 'correctly'
I'm wondering if anyone has tried a well crafted beer made with any amount of mary jane?

I hope this subject isn't breaking any forum rules, lol.

Marijuana is a hop relative. Look at any of IPA recipes that get floated around on here daily, and note the dry hop amounts, which would be where you could actually extract THC during the brewing process. Notice that there will be many responses for anything under 4oz saying that it's not enough hops. Can you afford that? Just smoke it.

I like the Jello avatar, btw.

"I figure it is time for someone who knows what the hell they are talking about to speak up before the BS gets any deeper.

"My credentials: ask Michael Jackson about my Brain Death Barleywine.
    "Nuff said.

"The facts: Special hops contribute a nice flavor to beer, quite complimentary to the regular hops. The flavor is directly related to the quality of the special hops."

Thanks, kind of ironic to be asking this questing with his avatar, since he doesn't like to smoke, But he is most definitely an advocate, Jello Biafra - Grow More Pot
I'm not all that big on smoking, at most it's a once a month thing, but I would not hesitate to try a beer with 'special hops'

Google likes to keep track of personal searches and report them to authorities when prompted... I'd prefer not to...

So does every other search engine on the web. Google is just up front about it. Unless you're looking for child pornography or something, they really don't care that much. I and acquaintances of mine have done searches on Google involving illegal activities and products (for research, mind you) and never once had a problem. I wouldn't go searching for 'Where can I buy primo hash in SoCal?' but looking into the chemical properties and characteristics of marijuana is not illegal.

Yet you start a thread about marijuana and beer in a thread that is searchable on google.

Never bothered to do it because I don't really smoke anyway but my friends have definitely suggested i attempt it. The only research i have come across suggests making a tincture in vodka, then adding that to your finished product. Boiling it or adding in secondary don't usually do the trick (alcohol content even in secondary is not sufficient to extract anything from it besides the grassy flavor. When you decide to stop fearing Google, Google tincture.

Just turn off the Google's 'web history' feature from your 'Account Settings.'
