I've only recently begun exploring IPAs, having clung rather single-mindedly for some time to a devotion to Belgian dark ales...but here's my list based on what I've had so far. In no particular order:

    Maine Beer Co. Lunch
    Ballast Point Sculpin
    Stone Enjoy By
Jack's Abby 2nd Anniversary (yeah, it's an IPL, so sue me. It's also sodding delicious.)
    Stone RuinTen

If I did this as a pie chart, you wouldn't be able to see anything except my first pick----everything else would just be a sliver.

    1. Zombie Dust (screw you, it's an IPA and everyone knows it)
    2. Lagunitas Sucks!
    3. Central Waters Illumination
    4. Alpha King (see above)
    5. Stone 14th Anniversary Emperial IPA

It's genuinely hard for me to rank anything after Sucks; the last three are pretty much interchangeable. Honorary mention to Anchor Humming Ale---which is far more of an IPA/APA straddler than either Alpha King or Zombie Dust. Also Hopslam, on its good days anyway, and Sierra Nevada Southern Hemisphere Harvest Ale.

I am obviously very much a fan of the more tropical fruit flavors in my hoppy beers, probably with pine second. I have grown more fond of grapefruit flavors but I still find it more bitter than others. Chinook has a very special place in my heart, I just love that unique spicy flavor, but you really have to be careful with it.
