Posting a Raffle for Charity

Hi - couple of years back I remember entered a raffle for some beers that benefited a charity. is that allowed? i am hoping to link to a donation page and ask people to put their BA names if they donate and then i would pull names from a hat (or whatever) and send the winner the beer being raffled. i thought it was a creative way to raise some money for a good cause and also give some generous, caring BAers a shot at some good beer while doing a little good.
