Posting pictures in the forums

Photobucket, take the direct link, click the photo icon and enter. It'll show up in the thread. How to upload pics outside of threads I don't know.

I use Tumblr, but same difference.

 

A lot also use Imgur. That works well for me.

I've read the above link and I think that Im following its instructions correctly, but I still can't post images. I've tried using imageshack, photbucket and imgur as hosting services. In all cases, after pasting the direct link to the image in the window that appears when clicking the "Image" button, the image appears correclty in the reply I'm writing, but when I click the "Post reply" button I obtain the following error message:

"Your content can not be submitted. This is likely because your content is spam-like or contains inappropriate elements. Please change your content or try again later. If you still have problems, please contact an administrator"

Im trying to post the image in the "What does your beer fridge look like?" thread.

Can you help me BAs?

Is your pic a jpg file? It sounds like you are foillowing all of the proper procedures, so if it is a jpg file, then I think the only option left is that the system has a bug and you should report it as such.

Or better yet, let me Report this thread and ask a mod to check to see if it is a bug.

 

Yes, the picture is a jpg, the typical JPG generated from the camera of an android smartphone. Please, report this thread as you indicate, thank you very much.

The URL of the picture is the following one (ill replace the dots and bars with DOT and BAR so that I don't get again a "content cant be submitted message"):

After reporting your posting I received a message back that there is a Spam Filter for new posters, so I don't know what that is all about and how to tell tell you to post your pic any other way. It sounds like you probably have never posted a pic before, but there has to be a point where you get permission to do this. Maybe someone else can chime in with further thoughts.

 

Yes, I never posted a pic nor anything at all apart from the posts in this thread. I initially thought about an antispam filter, but didn't find anything about it in the FAQ, so wasn't sure if that was the problem.

In any case, I really appreciate your interest Mothergoose03, thank you very much. I'd also appreciate if someone could tell me how to avoid this Spam Filter. Do I need to post a certain number of posts for it to be disabled? Do I have to ask permission for posting pics to somebody? How? I've started a conversation with Todd about this, don't know if this is the most appropiate (sorry if not)

Problem solved! Seems that the filter have been disabled because of my posting in this thread! Hope this experience helps other people with the same problem in the future
