    3 gallons

    Grains/Extract
    1lb munich
    1lb carafoam
    1lb crystal
    {step at 155 degrees for 60 minutes}
    3lbs extra light DME

    Hops:
    0.6 amraillo 60min
    0.6 citra 15 min
    0.6 citra 10 min
    0.6 citra 5min
    0.6 citra flame out

    I have never attempted a partial mash recipe but this is a list of ingredients I have laying around, so I wanted to use them. Does this sound reasonable? Any and all critiques are welcome and appreciated. Thanks everyone.

    Probably would make a tasty beer, but munich as a base malt doesn't really have the capacity to convert twice it's weight in specialty malts. Add a lb or two of 2-row for mini mashing. My personal preference would be to move 1/2 of the 15 and 10 minute additions to flameout, but I'm a sucker for hop aroma.

    So, one issue I forgot to mention is that the grains were handed to me in a jar all mixed together, which is less than ideal. So would it hurt to use the Munich as a base malt? Should I add more of the DME to ensure there is enough convertible sugar? I realize the DME and grain have a different potential so there would be some converting to do but it shouldn't be that difficult.

    No issues, just add some extra 2-row base malt to the recipe. Reduce the DME if you don't want to increase the abv
