    Happy Monday, BAs!

My wife and I are planning a long weekend trip at the end of March. I've been looking around this forum for places to visit in the Louisville/Bourbon Trail areas and have found a good number of beer bars, restaurants, etc.

Since we're driving, what are some beers I should be filling the car with to bring back to Illinois?

    Thanks, BAs!

There's not going to be a lot of stuff in KY that you don't already get in IL, but I'd see if AtG has anything special for sale at the pub. I'd also see what Country Boy and West Sixth you can take back with you.

I second the Country Boy and West 6th. Also, I always pick up some Rhinegeist when down in Kentucky.

    Yikes.

If you stay in the Louisville area, visit Monnik.

^ ha! Except I have noticed that seekabrew needs to update its shit because I did a trade and the guy I traded with had a ton of things seekabrew said he didn't!

Anyway, if your coming here for alcohol, the bourbon tour should take up your time. The breweries here are good and I don't dismiss them, but they aren't spectacular. Some west sixth is decent and country boy puts out great experimentals. Beer bars, holy grail is great in Louisville. Lexington has a couple I enjoy in the local idiot and the beer trappe. Hit up liquor barns though.

    Cheers

Bourbon tour is fine. If you go to silver dollar, they have pretty much every bourbon, including multiple year's btac, pappy, etc. You'll pay for it though.

For beer in louisville, hit up holy grale & nachbar. Sergio's is also worth checking out.

In your way into or out of town, hit keg liquors in new albany.

In Lousiville I would avoid Apocalypse Brewing. I thought all of their beer was awful, as did the rest of my group.

AtG, West 6th, New Albanian, Country Boy and Rhinegeist (Cincinnati) I believe are all available in Louisville and are all good.

I also enjoy Goodwood as well.

Thanks everyone for your suggestions! I checked out Seekabrew, albeit hesitantly because they didn't seem updated when I went to Denver over New Year's.
