Tip your glass to just shy of vertical to start and move upwards as glass fills up

Well, I'm a bit of a cynic in general, and, I've seen enough trolly/dumb posts here on BA. So I'm sure you'll understand my skepticism at someone who has earned enough money to buy a computer, and is smart enough to operate it, but doesn't know how to pour a beer from a can into a glass.

I wish I was good at jokes because I could totally make a good one right now about how pouring from a can is no different from pouring from a bottle.

I pour my canned beer into a bottle first.

I'm definitely trying that when I get home from work tonight, mostly just to mess with my girlfriend's head. Oh, and also to have a beer if all turns out well.

I usually tilt the can and hold a glass underneath it.

    Depends on who's giving it.

Pour slowly down the side of the glass, make adjustments as needed depending on how much head you desire.

Poke a hole in the can or turn the can sideways from the opening and pour very gently for the first few of ounces. Make sure you aim on the side of the glass to start. Pour it like a Duvel.

The head also turns to more beer when you let it sit for a few minutes

Don't tip the can "forward" as common sense would dictate, instead pour out of the left or right side of the can. It prevents the gulg, glug effect and helps to prevent foaming. Hard to explain but easy to demo.

I've never had a problem pouring a can like I would a bottle - glass at a 45 deg angle, let the beer hit the slope, then gradually tilting to vertical. Granted, nitro cans are a bit of a different proposition, since most of them tell you right on the side of the can to "pour vigorously"

I do this method all the time! I actually recommended this method. I believe it pours evenly allowing a balanced amount of air flow for a smooth pour.

    OP This is your answer.

Haven't shot gunned a beer since I was 16, a can of Carling Black Label. Had a friend who shotgunned a 6er then promptly got sick.

Remove the can holder before you refrigerate your beer as removal from the new hard plastic holders can really shake up the can. Chill to about 46 degrees. Chill your glass to the same temperature. Okay now pop the top and hook the edge of the rim of the can over the edge of the glass tip the glass up to about 45 degrees and then tip your can enough so the beer slowly runs to the bottom of the glass. As the glass slowly fills lower the glass and continue to raise the can until you have poured yourself a perfect beer! Enjoy!
