My wife and I are going to Prague and Vienna this Monday through the Monday following Thanksgiving. Anyone have any beer or bar/pub suggestions for the city center in each of those cities?

Vytopna is a pretty cool restaurant near the Narodni Museum in Prague. The food is very good. The beers might not be world class, but they're delivered on a model train to your table. I thought it was really cool.

Not sure if you're driving, but Pilsen is worth a stop too if you're passing that way. Pilsen, along with Mons, Belgium, is one of the two European Culture Capitals for 2015. There's a lot to see and do there this year. Na Splice is a must visit for great food and unfiltered Pilsner Urquell.

U Rotundy in Prague. Like being back in the 1980's. In a good way.

In vienna, in the city center, a really big craft beer store opened. Haven't been there yet,but austrian and german craft afficonados are raving about it. And yes, THEY HAVE CANTILLON,lol:wink:

Still I personally prefer Prague as a beer drinking city for sure.
Don't forgett to visit a tankova or some place that sells proper Kvasnicove. Some of the best Lager experiences one can have.
