My wife and I are going to Prague and Vienna this Monday through the Monday following Thanksgiving. Anyone have any beer or bar/pub suggestions for the city center in each of those cities?
U Tri Ruzi, U Provaznice, U Slovansky Lipy, Pivovarsky Dum, Klasterny Pivovarsky Strahov, Prague Beer Museum ?
I liked these places during my 2013 trip: Minipivovar U Medvídků Pivovarský Klub and Pivovar U Tří Růží Prosit!!
Vytopna is a pretty cool restaurant near the Narodni Museum in Prague. The food is very good. The beers might not be world class, but they're delivered on a model train to your table. I thought it was really cool. Not sure if you're driving, but Pilsen is worth a stop too if you're passing that way. Pilsen, along with Mons, Belgium, is one of the two European Culture Capitals for 2015. There's a lot to see and do there this year. Na Splice is a must visit for great food and unfiltered Pilsner Urquell.
Here is a great map of beer places in Vienna and what routes they are on. Have fun! http://www.probier.at/2015/10/05/craft-bahn-plan-die-wien-survival-map-fuer-craftbeer-freunde/
In vienna, in the city center, a really big craft beer store opened. Haven't been there yet,but austrian and german craft afficonados are raving about it. And yes, THEY HAVE CANTILLON,lol http://www.beerlovers.at/ Still I personally prefer Prague as a beer drinking city for sure. Don't forgett to visit a tankova or some place that sells proper Kvasnicove. Some of the best Lager experiences one can have.
