I paid $18 for a 25oz bottle at JK on Sunday.

And it was made with Hay and old hops.

    Clearly, it was ridiculous.

Picked up a couple from the guys at Whichcraft yesterday. They seemed to have a decent amount. Large amount of regular Bomb as well. Also picked up another bottle of Yellow Rose, a sixer of the recent Hops and Grain Greenhouse, and some Community Mosaic and Legion. Not a bad haul going into the weekend.

Anywhere north in Austin with bottles still? Was working late yesterday and missed at the usual spots.

I'm curious about this myself. I was at WFD at lunch and they didn't have it yet. Still not on their beer menu, but Bomb is, so I'm wondering if they got it late and sold out already. Specs online system didn't ever show any in Austin yesterday, so I don't know if they got any yet or not. Other HEBs that got it, sold out pretty quickly.

While it's true that the price per oz on this one is higher than I would like, it's also not aged in a run of the mill bourbon barrel. And for that reason, I'm willing to pay the price of admission to try something different and hopefully interesting.

I bought 3 at 10$ + tax... it sounds interesting to me... One to try now, 2 more to age out a little bit... If I don't like it, oh well..

I haven't had a noir variant yet that I disliked... with the exception of that bottle of vanilla i opened with the infection (and now I'll duck for cover after using the "I" word.... and to be fair, I bought 4 of those vanilla... 2 have been opened and only 1 was infected...)

I just picked one up for $11. My wallet hopes I'm disappointed, but I don't think that's gonna happen.

Is this something that they'll do again? The only other Noir variant I've seen at different times (here in Austin) was the wine barrel, but I wasn't sure if that was because they did another batch of it or because it just wasn't as popular and sat around.
Either way, I think I can live with myself in a week where I picked up a couple Sucabas and made a visit to JK.

I think I paid $22 for 12 oz last week at D&T. Should have asked the price before I opened it.
