As I'm going to be moving out to Denver next week, I have quite the road trip on my hands. I'm going to be driving through St. Louis and Kansas City and was wondering if anyone could recommend some good bottle shops to stop off at during my drive. While I'm interested in finding any quality shops, I'm particularly interested on finding some that carry Prairie. I'm specifically hoping to find some of the Noir variants and some Bomb!. Any help/recommendations would be much appreciated.
You probably won't have much luck in St. Louis finding Bomb as I think it sold out pretty quick when it arrived last week but who knows maybe there is still some out there. We also haven't gotten any Noir variants to this point. When I was in Denver a while back there were tons of Prairie beers on the shelves including Bomb. You can probably just wait till you get there to seek this stuff out. That being said, The Wine and Cheese Place in St. Louis is once of the best beer stores in the area. They have several locations, but the one on Forsyth is the main one. Also good are Randall's, Friar Tuck, & Lukas Liquors. Happy hunting!
Thanks for the info! I knew that Colorado got Prairie, just didn't see much of it when I visited for my interview. Also, CO was not listed as one of the states that got distribution of the last batch of Bomb!
Plenty of great beer to load up on in Mizzou on the way. Unless something has changed, there isn't any Bells or Founders in CO. A lot of buzz about Side Project/Perennial in the Midwest forums...
