For those too lazy to read it:

    Austin - 10/28 - Easy Tiger - 5 PM.

They like making us suffer through traffic.

Having any kind of event at 5 PM makes no sense to me at all.

Make it at 7 or 8*

*this is for completely selfish reasons as I take a dinner break from work from 7-830.

Yeah, I don't care much about release events. I just want to know when bottles hit stores.

For those that missed the event, just grab a bomb from the fridge and pretend it was Brimstone aged. Taste is almost identical. Noir would have been a much better choice for these barrels.

Just got back. Glasses were gone in 20 minutes. Keg was blown in 30. Chase brought 36 glasses. I didn't even get a pour (got there at 5:40) but thankfully a few awesome BA's were there to save the day for me. I did manage to get the whiskey glass ($16 with brimstone).

The beer itself is a little underwhelming. The only aspect I get from the BA is a smokeyness otherwise its just not there for me. Pirate was much better. That being said, I hope the rest of this is in the barrel still waiting to be bottled.

This is the second time Prairie has been a part of an event and brought very little actual beer with them. The same thing happened at What the Funk?! at GABF this year - they ran out of Coolship Truck in 45 minutes, and no other brewer ran out of beer until at least 2-3 hours into the event.

If they're going to do special events, they ought to actually bring a decent amount of the beer.
