So we finally have a release date (well, for Oklahoma). Figured I would create a Texas thread since the previous one posted a few months back got a bit off topic and was more general. http://prairieales.com/cherry-funk/ Hey friends. We teased you with the Cherry Funk label a while back, but now it’s almost time to taste the magic. Cherry Funk is set to release around August 12 in Oklahoma, and won’t be far behind for other markets. Cherry Funk is a sour ale that has been aged on cherries, and has an ABV of 7.5%. The end results are dry and sour with tart cherry flavor and aroma. Unlike some fruit beers that are syrupy and sweet, Cherry Funk is complex and on point with Prairie’s farmhouse point of view. Mark your calendars, you won’t want to miss this one. cheers. Jessi So which market will get this first? I'll be sitting around here in Houston for a year reading about how awesome this is.
I can't say how awesome it is to soon be able to go to a grocery store like HEB and pick up great sours from Prairie. Obviously it would be nice to get JK like we used to in College Station, but Prairie is really hooking it up. It may take a lot longer to get here, but at this point I don't care. I'll take anything over the "Sour Power" pack!
