Had a couple glasses of this last week on draft (~$7-8) and it was pretty lacking on the sour front. I got more sweetness from the cherry and malt and just the slightest hint of sour, almost like it wasn't suppose to be there. An alright beer but definitely not worth the $15-19 price I've seen most bars charging for a 16.9oz bottle.

I'm not super experienced in berliners but this reminded me of one. Lots of grain, a touch of tart. The cherries compliment and are not in the foreground. It really comes off as a berliner with cherries to me. I thought it was pretty good.

Got a couple bottles today from d&q today as we'll and looking forward to trying. if y'all don't find this sour enough I suggest Santa Fe Kriek. Pricey but solid. Good balance between tart and cherries

This is true. Just popped one open and was thinking the same thing before I even read your post. Holding off on the CF's I have too.

Drinking that Santa Fe right now. Pleasantly surprised. Wasn't expecting much but its pretty solid. Missing the juicy cheeriest that I got from MvB but nice funky tartness and cherries are present.

Planning on grabbing a Cherry Funk tomorrow but the Prairie prices are wearing on me so if its like the Prairie Hop ($11.99, seriously?) I'll only get 1.

for some reason my dad bought an entire case of this at D&Q without even trying it rofl

i picked up two bottles to trade one and cellar one, after trying it on tap at D&T drive in it is a very solid beer. I enjoy it exponentially more than funky gold.

Just got back from D&Q and Brandon still has about 5 cases sitting on the floor. I grabbed 2 cherry funk, second to last Santa Fe Kriek (25.99!), and a Prairie Standard.. bill was 65 bucks!

    These prices are killing me...

I'd totally drink a case of this. I wouldn't pay for it since it's expensive, even though I loved it, but I'd drink all of it!

i know the feels, somehow i manage with a college student budget

don't get me wrong I would too, its just funny because it isn't the type of beer my dad buys and drinks regularly. Only time he drinks craft beer that doesn't come in a six pack is when I bring it over for him to try and when he tried JK Provenance 2 he hated it (not a sour beer type of guy).

Finally had this last night. I thought it was a fantastic beer. Nice and tart, cherries were present on the nose and the flavor profile

A, as in single? I heard it made a return but I haven't seen it yet. Please don't tell me it's in a 500ml now for $10 opposed to the 4 pack it was in previously.
