Yeah, Firefly Cambie had it for $90 a bottle for about a year. Back when Lundy worked there.

The conversation about prairie in Alberta has turned into why BC can't have nice things.

I would tend to believe Christians argument about pricing, except for the fact that EVERY SINGLE ONE OF HIS BEERS is priced higher than similar offerings from other importers!

Jumping on the list of Beers above 11.9 in BC.
Mikkeller Black (17+%) was here for ages.

If you don't believe me about pricing, please check http://www.aglc.ca/pdf/quickfacts/markup_rates_schedule.pdf - all markup in Alberta is explained in detail.

In terms of Prairie or Evil Twin - the high alcohol beers would retail already for approx. $5.00 more ($3.85 wholesale) than other 355mL offerings. And that's not us, that's th government charging.

I won't comment on other importers pricing, as everyone needs to make a living. Sometimes it's hard to realize that there's a lot more to be calculated into the price than just the beer, like freight, storage, markup, shipping to stores, etc.

Thanks for the honest response, Christian.

I think we need to focus on the bigger evil here, the government

Is this still happening, or has it kind of fallen off the rails?

I know I'm just an ex-pat and have only lived in Ottawa and Vancouver, but.... isn't "Prairie in Alberta" kinda obvious...???? No one is posting "Potatoes in PEI", "Lobsters in Nova Scotia" or "Weed in BC". Just sayin'.....

Yes, this is happening - we had a hard time finding "heated" shipping out of Oklahoma. They did arrive in BC already and awaiting customs clearance - and should be in Alberta any day now. I assume a release of the first or second week of January they should be out.

In the future do you think you are going to be getting more selection to order from Prairie?
