I'm interested in the more limited stuff from Prairie, anyone know if we'll get it in Colorado? Any connections?

What sort of stuff are you looking for? Bomb? I don't think you'll get any of that in Colorado, but I saw several Prairie beers on shelves when I visited my brother in October and again in December like 'Merica, Funky Galaxy and The Beer that Saved Christmas.

We got bomb here several months back. Also, Bible Belt a little more recently.

There is still Bible Belt around town at smaller shops from the last drop IIRC. Though it won't be easy to find. I still have some if you are interested.

I think Bomb! was for GABF, and I think Bible Belt was for CBC... I'd be reluctant to think we'd see any more of their limited releases anytime soon.

All I've seen are Funky Galaxy, Prairie Ale, Birra, and The Beer that Saved Christmas recently.

We also got Puncheon about a month or two ago which I thought was great. Although I haven't seen it recently, could be close to gone...

I think CO has been getting the shaft lately, as far as Prairie stuff goes. . .

Fort Collins still has a decent collection of Prairie stuff sitting on the shelves. Not of the bottles SalukiAlum expressed interest in but Puncheon, The Beer That Saved Christmas, Funky Galaxy, Brra and Eliza5beth. Might have also seen a Prairie Ale sitting but could be mistaken on that one.

Birra is seriously underrated. Amazing session beer. Puncheon is also very good.

Gotta be honest, I was a little underwhelmed. Maybe I was expecting something more or different...I had the orange wax. Curious to see how this most recent batch is. I'm going to try it with an open mind.

I've heard it's a bit more harsh and people aren't liking it as much as previous batches. Jury is still out for my opinion though, haven't tried this batch yet.

Bomb is on at Falling Rock. Come help me kick it so we can tap the wine barrel noir that's on deck!

My wife opened one and before I knew what it was, I thought it tasted like a good chocolate stout. When I found out it was Bomb!, I was a little disappointed because the last batch that came through in Oct, bottle and keg especially, had more pepper heat to it, which I enjoy.
I still find it a good beer, but I liked the previous batch I had better.

I don't know of it matters, but all the bottles I got this time around had no wax.

Also saw Puncheon at Mr. B's today (along with Bomb, Prairie Ale, and a few others).
I just cracked a bottle of this new batch and I would agree: it is a bit harsh. The chili pepper flavors are more astringent on this batch (but not hotter, just more chili flesh/seed flavors) that I remember from the previous batches I have tried. That being said, it is still a tasty stout that drinks way below its 13%.
