I struggle with this. I like Prairie. I like Prairie a lot. I do not like the price point. In fact, I hate it. But every single release, I am out there buying as much as I can find.

Same here, but as long as my wife doesn't find out how much a 12oz Prairie cost the struggle is manageable. :grimacing:

picked up 3 at Central Market (Houston) last night $10.49 each. He had 3 cases sitting on the floor but not sure if any more in the back.

Every release I have from prairie I seem to like them slightly less. I haven't had a "wow" beer from them in quite some time... everything is good, but as I watch the price point on all their bottles climb higher and higher, I have continued to buy less and less...

    it's getting easier every release...

That being said, I am excited to try this, and did pick up two bottles this weekend... even if I like it when I try it in the next couple of days, I won't be giving this release anymore of my money at almost $11 a bottle + tax.

I loved the crap out of this one, on par with AB noir as my favorite. Boozy and sweet.

The Shell station has these on the floor for $11.99 each. No thanks.

Are you suprised? I would assume not.. You as well as everyone down in this area know that they are always a few dollars more than anywhere else. I rarely go over and grab something from the Shell station unless its super low count and I have no other way of getting it (Like Stickee Monkee)

Not surprised at all, just stating that I wont be contributing to Prairie's success at those prices. I feel these bottles should be 7-8 bucks max. I blame Prairie more than the Shell store.

    Gotcha

Yea they are a few dollars more than I would like as well but have not been let down by the Prairie BA stouts. Ill pay 10 bucks for them but not much north of that...

I have to agree with all of that. I don't remember other Prairies being quite as boozy, but I haven't had any in a while either. I'm usually one and done with any Prairie beer, but now I may have to see if I can snag another.

As for the usual price conversation, Avery averages higher prices than Prairie for all their 12oz offerings (though I think Uncle Jacob's and Tweak are better than anything Prairie has ever put out <== Super subjective statement) Also, since we have some St Arnold fans here, the BB series might be cheaper than some of these Prairie stouts (but still really expensive), but they aren't even in the same galaxy of quality <== objective fact) :grinning:

Regular Noir and AB Noir were much better.

    Was okay, not worth $10-12.

Try one, don't recommend buying a case.
