Prairie stout releases

    Has anyone heard anything about Priaire's release schedule this year? Will there be any more Bourbon Paradise? What's the Noir lineup look like?

    As I understand it, Bourbon Paradise will be brewery only this year to be released this month or next.

    Double Dunk not one of their better offerings IMHO. Sure would like to see Brandy Apple Noir again.

    Is it worth spending the $$ on? I was going to get a few bottles but if its not so great I will wait for others?

    AB Noir was released last months, but OK Distro Only. Still plenty on the shelves

    I paid $8.49 for my bottle (plenty on the shelf) and after drinking it wouldn't consider buying more. To each their own though, if I were you I'd buy one and try it. Not bad, just not my favorite.

    Thanks for the info. I probably will try one to see what I think but will wait on additional bottles until I sample it. :beers:

    Don’t understand why so many are on Prairies jock. $10/12oz is a pass for me everytime.

    Agreed. Exactly why each one of the bottleshops around here still have 2017 Xmas and Birthday Bomb gathering dust on the shelves.

    Granted, when I first got into craft I went out of my way to buy Prairie Bomb. Certainly a gateway stout for me. More interested in value now after a few years.

    Most if not all feedback I have heard and read relating to apple brandy noir has been thoroughly positive, more for us:slight_smile:

    I agree that the Bombs aren't worth the money, they're not too special and really easy to find. However, the Noir series and Bourbon Paradise are some of the best beers I've ever had, so I would gladly go out of my way to find some.

    I was responding to the post about Double Dunk. I'd buy every bottle of AB Noir I could find in a heartbeat.

    Prairie doesn't do anything like a release calendar, and hell - they don't even list all of their current or recent beers on their site. Most brewers list all of the beers in their lineup, even if only rotational. Prairie - frustratingly - wings it. They know they make the best lineup of stouts and they can do what they want because it will all sell, usually quickly.

    Bash Bomb, Christmas Bomb, and Birthday Bomb, but BA Bomb and Pirate Bomb are incredible, particularly when aged.
