Looking for recommendations for pre-dinner brews in Cambridge on a Saturday night. Doesn’t have to be anything particularly special. Bonus points if they have good cocktails (as my wife prefers those). And mega bonus points if they have cask!

    Where exactly in Cambridge?

For cocktails can’t recommend Brick and Mortar enough.

For beers CBC is the obvious choice. You can actually feasibly walk from one to the other. And there’s multiple options within walking distance in that area as well.

    Lamplighter, Portico, and Remnant brewing.

CBC was definitely the first thing I thought of. We’ll be in the area of The Port/Wellington-Harrington

Lamplighter Broadway is right there, fun spot, good IPAs. Enjoy your time in Cambridge!

One thing on Lamplighter, it can be very busy and tough to find a seat at times. Like, people on their laptops with headphones in kinda thing. Their back room usually has some space but I always thought was less comfortable. It has been like 2 years since I've been there though, so it might have changed.

Another fun spot for drinks is State Park, across the plaza from CBC.

Ended up at Cambridge Brewing. Really enjoyed their English Pub Ale.
