    Have you tried to brew a 1 gallon batch in that setup?

    You're pretty golden then.

    But just get a real brewpot for the boil. 7.5 gallons or more, with a blasting heat source. Turkey fryer is cheapest, best way to accomplish.

    You can probably get one for fiddy bucks the day after thanksgiving. :rolling_eyes:

    You CAN brew a smaller batch in a bigger pot, but not the other way around.

    If you're going to do 1gal maybe brew in a bag.

    I can't have propane where I live. Plus I'm on the third floor of a walk up. I have to brew with electric.

    @DPA-35
    I've looked at their site.
    There seems to be a lot of company's that gear towards the smaller batches.

    Ah, I see. Probably best to NOT have a turkey fryer on the wooden third floor balcony, lest you have a homer simpson moment.

    well, homer would be frying turkeys with it, which is the one thing about a turkey fryer I don't recommend. Well now it's two things. :rolling_eyes:

    If I could use a propane burner I'd go straight to 5 gallon batches and invest in a nice brew pot
    For now it's small batches in the kitchen
