Today at work we received the Sierra Nevada Beer Camp Across The World 12 pack, and it lead to some great dialogue/discussion between my coworkers, beer reps and myself. The main topic of debate was our preferred format of variety 12 packs.

Personally I like 6 different beers with 2 of each kind.

I put "Other" as a poll choice in case there is something I'm missing that you might prefer (Peak Organic mixed IPA 6pk maybe?) and I also put "None" in case variety 12ers aren't your thing.

I voted other because I would prefer variety pack with no year round beers in them first and foremost. Otherwise 2 of 6 is fine.

I agree with no year rounds, I would prefer 12 different beers but 2 each of 6 would be okay.

Across the World did it right. One bottle each and no year rounders, which means each beer is a clean slate.

But I wouldn't be opposed to 2 of each. Just that if you don't like one, you still have an extra of it.

I think a variety pack should never have year round it it. I feel if you are buying a variety pack you are looking for new items and its not cool to force the main beers on you to buy the rest. Also, and this one is an idea I had for awhile now. How cool would it be for the brewier to start having special hidden beers in some of the packs. Upon release mention that lucky customers may discover a special beer inside that no one else will get, etc. Now how about that for boosting sales, hidden special beers inside, that would get people buying I bet. Anyway, cheers and good drinking....

I'm ok with some year rounds as long as they're fresh and priced well. Just picked up a Victory mix pack with 3 cans each of Hopdevil, Vital, Prima, and Summer Love for $16.99. No problem with that whatsoever.

Being an incorrigible ticker, I'd love to see 12 different beers in a variety pack. Two each of 6 is okay. Not a fan of any other format.

I don't think I'd like the hidden beer idea. I want to know what I'm buying.

2 of 6, and eliminate the flagship beers in the pack, Sam Adams and Sierra Nevada

I like 2 of 6. It is nice to be able to try a beer again if you really like it, or if you think your pallet is off and want to try one again...

I'm leaning on the 12 beers one of each side but 6 beers 2 of each is also very nice. I've been seeing a couple breweries recently doing 5 beers 3 of each in 15pk can format which is also very nice.

Other for me. 4 each of 3 selections. And make each of those selections worthwhile . You know, just remove the one beer nobody's really interested in and bulk up on the remainders.

mix up the mix packs........I dont want golden monkey in my mix......Victory has a good amount of beers and can put them all into mix packs....if summer love and vital can go into a mix why cant lager and pale ale be in there too?........do I really want SNPA in a mix pack?

most of the time mix packs are not worth the price.....I do think Troegs does a good job keeping them seasonal and adding scratch beers in as well.......

I vote for 4 beers ....three of each

    Enjoy

Two each of six. One each of twelve doesn't allow you to try it on two different days in case your taste is off. Four of three is too many if there are some you don't like - but suppose you could give them to an in-law.

Beer Camp is something I look forward to being released each summer. I also enjoyed a variety pack from the Payette Brewery. I do agree with the point above about 4x3 variety packs. If you don't like one of the beers, a quarter of your purchase is a disappointment.

The ticker in me says 12 different beers with no year round offerings.

I like 6 different even though almost all are 4 different. If it were 12 different I wouldn't want to share it.

Hovering between "3 each of 4 beers" (what I ended up voting for) and "2 each of 6 beers."

I really like this idea, though. Like a "best of both worlds" between the other two options I mentioned, you get a wider variety of beers while also having more than one spare can/bottle of each.

I also like 3 of 4, but if I have to choose one options, give me more variety.
