While researching upcoming ACBW events, I ran across an event featuring Pretty Things ( http://www.facebook.com/events/373315086039797/ ). I can't say I was aware of their entry into LA prior to this. Jeremy/Polly, any launch notice I may have missed? Or has this kind of went under the radar?
Sorry...just saw this question. Pretty Things is one ofthe small Aemrican craft brewers that uses an importer. Hill Farmstead, Jolly Pumpkin, st Somewhere...are on my list ACBW and we access them through Shelton brothers. Evil Twin, Stillwater and Local Option have the same relationship with 12 percent importers. It's a pretty cool set p because it gives us occasional access to beer that would otherwise be completely impossible to get down here.
Yeah sorry. I don't check BA as often as I should. Looks like your question was answered though. Cheers!
Will Pretty Things be available on a regular basis in New Orleans? Also, do the Local Option beers get distributed around there too? Going to be in town in a few weeks for a cousins wedding and would love to try some of these beers. Thanks.
No we get Pretty Things, Hill Farmstead, Local Option, DDC! , Evil Twin, Stillwater, Hopfenstarck and others like them on an intermittent basis from 12 percent and Shelton brothers. we have Dampf Loc on tap right now but it will be gone by the time you arrive. We are expecting another truck with Pretty Thngs on it in the net week so there's a chance that will be either on tap over at Stiens in bottles when you are here.
Stein's has Jack d'Or, Babayaga, Fluffy White Rabbits, and the two X ales, but that's all that's available right now. Also, we just started getting some Southampton stuff, I believe through SHelton as well. Burton IPA, Double White and Keller Pils.

Had Pretty Things Jack D'Or yesterday - probably the best American-made saison I've ever had. Dry, hoppy as hell, very drinkable. Southampton makes some good stuff, especially their Double White.
