I am an Australian BA who has a friend willing to ship back to Oz a box of goodies when he is in Cali in early October.

I'm just wondering if you guys can give me some idea of the price and availability of the following (I wouldn't ask/want him to spend too much time searching around). Also, any suggestions would be great, keeping in mind I have easy access in Australia to Sierra Nevada, Ballast Point, some Lagunitas, some Lost Abbey, Stone and a few others.

    Anything Russian River
    Hair of the Dog
    Citra DIPA
    Parabola
    Duck Duck Gooze

    Cheers

No problem finding the first two. I still see Parabola around, though I can't say how it will be come October.

Here is a list of brews with price range and what i pay since you never know how much your going to pay at any given store. I usually go beer grabbing in OC so if anyone know where to get these in LA, let the OP know.

    RUSSIAN RIVER
Limited but you can find it at a specialty store- Supplication- 10.99-13.99 (12.99 my price)* by the way, they used to be 10.99 but lately i noticed the price has gone up on Supplication, Temptation, Consecration

Limited but you can find it at a specialty store-Temptation 10.99-13.99 (12.99 my price)

Limited but you can find it at a specialty store- Consecration 12.99-15.99 (12.99 my price)

Redemption- 4.99-6.99 (4.99 my price)- This is usually easy to get
Damnation- 4.99-6.99 (4.99 my price)- This is usually easy to get
Salvation- 5.99-7.99 (5.99 my price)- Very Limited
Sanctification- 9.99-12.99 (9.99 my price)- Very Limited
Pliny the Elder- 4.99-6.99 (4.99 my price)- Hit or Miss
Blind Pig- 4.99-6.99 (4.99 my price)- Hit or Miss

    HAIR OF THE DOG
Fred- 4.99-6.99 (4.99 my price)-New batches coming out consistently so should be easy to get.
    Adam- 4.99-6.99 (4.99 my price)-Same as above
Doggie Claws- 5.99-7.99 (5.99 my price)- Once a year and can get it at a specialty store.

FIRESTONE WALKER PARABOLA- 15.99-19.99 (15.99 my price)
They are limited but you can find them at some shops for sure. They are by my way a bunch right now.

KERN RIVER CITRA DIPA (9.99-11.99) (9.99 my price)
They have not released this one for a few months now. It is usually a whenever its ready kind of thing. Maybe 2-3 times a year? It is a big hit for most people.

DUCK DUCK GOOZE- This is almost impossible to get unless they have it at the Brewery but its usually for consumption at the brewery only. This is a brew that you will most likely need to trade for or buy on ebay or something.

    Hope this helps. Good luck.

Check out some beers from Knee Deep (especially Simtra). New brewery with really good beers. High Water brewing is also extremely under rated IMHO. Also, if Drakes has any seasonals out; aroma coma/ hopocolypse, have them send it back to OZ!

This store in Signal Hill has a pretty good beer selection and carry beers by most of the ones your looking for. Their Beer guy Andy can also try to bring in any beer your looking for as long as one of his reps has it available.
