    Hi Guys,
I really like Surly Darkness. Many people really like TG Pseudo Sue and Golden Nugget which I have multiples of. How many of the TG's do you all think are worth one Darkness?
    Thanks for any advice!

I think Darkness goes for around $20 (correct me if I'm wrong), so it'd be in the range of 3 Pseudosues I would guess..

So, Pseudo is around $10. So, I am looking at about a 50% premium? Fine with me, just want to make sure I understand.

$10? Huh... I've always heard from other traders PS went around $6-$7 a bottle... I don't think there should necessarily be a premium... I was just basing this on $4$

OK, got it. There is one place to get it here in MKE. It's 9 I think for the PS and 10 I think for the GN. Regardless, $4$ sounds good. I may give it a shot, thanks.

$7 is the normal price for Sue, $20 is the normal price for Darkness. Both get sold at a premium outside the brewery sometimes, but it's tough to try and pass along those higher prices to people. I'd say 3 bottles of TG stuff for a Darkness is pretty fair.

Unless you got darkness at the release party it was $25+ retail this past year.

Unless you're outstate, I'd avoid whatever places were charging $25+ at retail.

Most places I haunt in the Cities had it on the shelves for between $19.99 - $22.99. There were outliers, but $25+ retail was certainly not the norm.

Darkness is a great beer, but I think from now on I'll probably pass. low $20's a tough price point for non barrel aged, non flavored, etc. Just so much easier and cheaper to buy Stone RIS or Founders RIS or other local stouts. or if I want to splurge, Speedway Stout which sits on shelves at $15

Thanks for all the feedback. We have no access to Surly here in WI. I can drive to Chicago to get the regular stuff. I agree, many great stouts out there. DORIS, Speedway, etc. I will likely sit this one out.
