Priming the pump?

I generally do not drink higher AbV beers during the day. I will at night

 

I definitely hear ya on that. Plus if that first beer you have is pre-dinner beer/when your hungry, man I don't know about you, but my taste buds explode with those first couple tastes of beer.

 

Unless I'm on vacation or taking part in a bottle share, I rarely drink more than one beer in a day. And since our bottle shares are usually skewed toward maltier beers, it's pretty much a non-issue there.

 

ABV-wise, if I'm drinking several beers I usually drink like I'm climbing up and down a stepladder. Climbing down suffers a bit from having climbed up, of course, but I'm in the mood and all.

 

I usually start my night off with the best tasting brew. No reason wasting great flavor when you're already lit.

 

I go hoppy, then malty.

But I am a trained professional.

 

No, not really. Like I said, I tend to enjoy big beers more. As much as possible, I will avoid mixing hoppy and sour beers, as it does bad things to my stomach.
