I just had a friend ship me a box from Belgium to forward on to him in Ca, he thought there were still issues.

I had this exact same experience today. My box left Belgium 10/19, arrived in L.A. on 10/21 where it sat at "ISC Los Angeles CA (USPS)" for 3 weeks (which I can only assume is US Customs). On 11/7 I get a notification that it "Arrived at USPS Facility," then "Arrived at Sort Facility, then "Processed Through Sort Facility," and finally "Unclaimed/Max Hold Time Expired."

Any movement seemed good to me, so I assumed it was good news when on 11/8 it shows "Arrived" and then "Departed" in "Los Angeles, United States." Unfortunately, the next time an update happens is when it arrives in Brussels, Belgium today. My guess is they returned it to the sender, but no word on why it was returned unclaimed when they made not delivery attempt whatsoever.

Damn, sorry to hear that. I was hoping things had loosened up again by now. I've been waiting to trade boxes with a friend in Belgium for months.

Yeah, it probably never actually cleared Customs, in spite of what it looks like from the "Processed Through Sort Facility" message. I haven't seen the "Unclaimed/Max Hold Time Expired" message on any of my past shipments, but everything else sounds precisely like what has happened for shipments that get returned to the sender.

Things still aren't good as of mid to late October. I have a go around but still lost 200 in shipping costs going to LAX 3 weeks ago.

Placed an order with biab as they stated they have resumed shipping to California. Arrived at lax on the 15th and currently being retained with customs "for unknown reason". Oddly enough I recently ordered wine and received it within a week for Belgium with no issues. Did order wine from Denmark and it was held in Kentucky (weird) and I was called to pay a customs fee of a few dollars.

I think that's the issue with all these getting rejected, proper duties aren't being paid. If they call from lax I'd gladly pay it :grinning:

Just to bump. Box arrived to my receiving location. So sent on the 10th and arrived on the 18th in LA. Looks like all good now.

Looks like things aren't getting though again. My BIAB order was shipped on Jan 19th and the online status was changed to "return to sender" last night. I called customs and they said they refused to pass the package to USPS because of the alcohol. Bummer

Just had a box returned to EG yesterday. Had one go through in December and another a few days ago but this one, a fairly large order did not. Looks like shipping to east coast and double shipping fees are again in effect for us West coasters....

Has anyone had any issues with biab it eg with reshipping boxes to a new address?

How many bottles have you been getting through at at time? Large boxes 10x 750's or smaller 3-6 bottle shipments? trying to see if that matters at all. Have a coupl trades on hold and a couple other putchases ready to ship.... Is it still a crapshoot and you get mr/Mrs. Nice guy or mr/Mrs douche bag return stamp?

My returned package was about 15 bottles - a mixture of 750's and smaller formats. Might just be luck of the draw.
