noticed Hamm's all over the screen in "Wild" recently. I get the Minnesota location, but could Hamm's have even been on the PCT in 1995?

Not sure what Wild or PCT mean, but Hamm's is been around for ages, was actually popular in the 70's, it was never a contender as a premium beer, more of a guzzler! They were one of the 1st beers a can remember with a mascot, the Hamm's bear.

Why would Hamm's do product placement in what I assume is a TV show or movie? Hobos don't watch TV/Movies.

In 1995, Hamm's was still a Pabst brand - Pabst had bought Olympia in the early 80s and Olympia had bought Hamm's in the mid-1970s. By then, the old Oly plant in Tumwater, WA - a 4.5 million barrel capacity brewery - was Pabst's only other brewery left beside their home facility in Milwaukee (which would close the next year).

Hamm's was Pabst's 3rd largest selling brand (after Blue Ribbon and Olde English 800) in the '90s, selling twice as much for them as Olympia. Records show it was sold in both California and Washington state in that period.
