Middlebury, VT (June 16, 2015) – The Shed Brewery is f#&!ing proud to announce the release of Profanity Ale, the first brand new, year-round offering since 2011.

Brewed with an obscenely malty backbone, Profanity Ale is a hoppy brown ale with a kicked-up hop profile that is sure to have you screamin’ the whole way down. With distinct grassy and fruity hop notes from the use of Galaxy, Mosaic and Cascade hops, Profanity is nicely balanced by a rich, roasted malt profile. Like other robust Shed offerings, this hoppy ale clocks in at 6.8% alcohol by volume.

“There’s a certain ruggedness to Shed beers,” said brewmaster Mike Gerhart. “This one fits in with the big, aggressive beers that we’ve created.” Profanity Ale will be the third offering in The Shed Brewery’s year-round lineup, which includes Mountain Ale and Shed IPA.

The Shed Profanity Ale begins shipping in mid-June and will be available in six-packs, cases and on draught, with an official release party slated for Friday, June 19, on the Spirit of Ethan Allen cruise boat in Burlington. The Swig & Sway Beer Dinner is a three-course dinner aboard the Spirit of Ethan Allen that features four 9oz. beer pairings, dinner and a cruise. About The Shed Brewery
The Shed has been a Vermont icon for generations. Born in the shadow of Mt. Mansfield, the original building served as a cider mill, where local farmers gathered during harvest season for a drink of hard cider and spirited conversation. In 1965, tall tales of downhill glory filled walls as skiers descended upon The Shed, setting the roots for Stowe’s après-ski culture. Steeped in history and rooted in Vermont lore, The Shed became THE spot for locals and tourists alike. Today, the Shed’s legacy lives on in every batch of ale, and the spirited conversation that erupts when you drink like a local.
