I was thinking the same thing..actually, thought I posted a similar question - but must have been deleted.. I kind of liked known how many states/countries I've tried a beer from...

 

A lot of things are still being worked on. I'm guessing the not so important options will come in later?

 

I second that as well. Really appreciating the overall changes but it would be very nice to still have this

 

Maybe this will be part of the integration between the forum and the site? We shall see.

 

No- well, beer karma is being re-tooled to tie into the forums, the bros are working on developing a new achievement system. It's not gone, just on hold for a redesign.

 

I wonder if it'll be another arbitrary point system which nobody knows how points are calculated yet somehow there is a set requirement to post in certain places ... that never made sense to me.

OMG you cracked the code! Haha, that part is obvious. I was talking about an actual point breakdown.

Since they will no longer be using it, I don't see what's wrong with discussing it.

 

I hope that any activity between the last day it was used and when they implement something new will count towards something.

 

You got 1 point for every beer review plus 0.X points for every year you are on the site. For example if you have been on beeradvocate for 3.2 years and write a beer review you get 1.3 points. If you were on for 2.8 years you got 1.2 points for each review...and so on. Difficult? No.

 

Seems we've lost all our beer mail and contacts as well. The only reason I really do a full review is so I can have it compiled somewhere for me to reference. If it's not going to be readily accessible, then I probably will stop spending so much time on them and actually talk to people when I go out for beer!
