I searched but can't seem to find any info on Propig crowlers/ growlers. Do they have the crowler machine up and going? Can you just walk in to the new 'tasting room' and pick some up? Can you get all of their house brewed beers to-go? i.e: can I get crowlers of the new colb w/ lawsons? thanks
Over the weekend they were selling regular growlers, and I saw the crowlers but did not see a price list so I'm not sure if they're rolling them out yet. Reverse Whirlpool was available for growlers and was fantastic.
Crowlers are up and running. Reverse Whirlpool was available in crowlers, but who knows how long it will last. I believe that all of their house beers are to-go.
Also grabbed 2 crowlers of RW this weekend. Now the ultimate question - will they stay fresh as long as a 12oz can, or is there any reason (their size, canning process, etc) why they might lose freshness faster than 12oz cans?
I haven't seen Pro Pig's setup, but most crowlers are still filled off draft lines and then "canned on foam" like growlers. They should be treated as slightly more stable growlers.
The above responses look pretty accurate. DC Brau recently set up a crowler station, and they recommend 3-4 days tops.
I imagine so, unless there's a run on it from the after work crowd. I'll be in early tomorrow, I'll let you know.
I've kept crowlers from Garrison City Beerworks in Dover NH for up to 3 weeks with no change in taste or flavor. It was refrigerated as soon as I got them home.
Correct, it lasted all of one week. All house beers are available for growler/crowler fills. Current tap list is: Under the Plaid pale ale, Amarillo Dream, Bantam DIPA, Mosaic Blonde, Multi-Grain IPA and Dream of the 90s.
So I had my crowler of Reverse Whirlpool filled on Saturday 4/18 and drank it Wednesday 4/23 and didn't think there was any product degradation . . . in fact it was downright f****** amazing!
