What do you guys think? was thinking of sticking it down in the cellar for a few years to see if it smooths out the hops and brings the maple forward a bit more...anyone have experience aging barrel aged black ipas? are there any other barrel aged black ipas?

I literally cracked mine open today to answer this question for myself. I think this will age very nicely. The hops will definitely mellow out. I plan on grabbing a few more and drink one every 6 months. I'll post results. But i am loving this unique brew!

I would think this would age fine. I have several Surly 1349 Black Ales I've been aging. Cracked one about a month ago and it was fantastic.
