So I was down in Tallahassee a few weeks ago and decided to stop in and check this place out. Man was I blown away. Every single beer I tried of theirs was phenomenal. I really wanted to try the atomic cocoa but they were out of it when I was there. I also heard a rumor they're working on a canning line. Anybody else stopped in and checked this place out? Thoughts?
I was there a couple months ago. I had the Marzen and the IPA. Both were good, but I remember the IPA being a little too bitter and resiny for my taste, almost like there was still hop residue in the beer. But they were both flavorful beers and I left there thinking that if they just dial in their process a little better they really could have something on their hands.
I stop by this place once or twice every couple of weeks. Best selection in town and they have fantastic events monthly. And yes, they just purchased a location for a bottling plant! Pretty exciting to see them grow so much in just a few short years!
They are indeed starting a bottling location in the all Saints area. As far as the beer goes... its a decent local brewery. Im in all the time to but bottles but I'm rarely in to the bar. The few ive had have been good (some better than others) not amazing. Im With the post above who said they have good ideas they just need to tweak the recepes slightly to be something to write home about.
Heard good things from friends that live in Tallahassee and was in town about a month ago. Didn't get to hang at the bar but stopped in to buy a couple of bottles. They have a very good selection in the store and decent prices. Next time want to hang at the bar and try some of their stuff.
I'm at the bar about once a week. I've only had their cocoa stout and IPA and both were pretty good. Plus always having Jai Alai on tap never hurts haha.
