Would an upland kiwi get it done or would I or the person with prop need to add? Thanks for the help.

    1:1 IMO.

I've been trying to get my hands on a Prop for quite sometime now. But I just can't swallow going 1:1 for DB Hunahpu, which is what it seems people keep trying to offer me. Call me crazy but I'm the type of person that thought a beer like Amplitude (limited to 300 bottles) could land a beer that was still on the shelf in Chicago a few weeks ago.

    Thoughts?

I have a few thoughts. For one there is another much larger post about Prop in this sub forum that lists a lot of past trades. Also, there is no where in Chicago that this beer sat on a shelf for more than a few hours upon release except for the fluke mom and pop shop or some liquor store charging $80 a bottle, and even those are loooooong gone. If anyone picked one up recently, it was because the store owner kept them off the shelf.

    Good luck on your trading

Edit: my bad my memory is wrong or its the wrong sub, but there was a thread of people posting finished prop trades, I know I posted in it, but can't find it.

I was gonna PM you, but I guess I won’t bother. Lol. I saw your FT on the Hunahpu Day trading spreadsheet. I would do Proprietors for a DB Huna, I also have Atrial for a Backyard Rye. 2 for 2, in-person seems like a fair trade to me.

It’s just beer, not commodities trading…nothing to profit from because once you drink it, it’s gone. People get too hung up on bottle counts, rarity, perceived “value” of their beers. Just trade something you don’t want to drink for something you do want to drink and not worry about all the noise. You won’t stress as much. You’ll develop trade relationships with guys that send you the latest instant-hype whale with no expectations in return….you’ll do the same and think nothing of it.

Really? I mean I'm not in Chicago but in another thread people were saying about 2-3 weeks ago Binny's put out a couple cases they were holding on to. Because it wasn't announced immediately, it was sitting there until word got round. Which I'm sure wasn't long.

As for DB Hunah 1:1 on Prop. That's just funny to me. So thx but no thx.

I am not in Chicago either but I was on Black Friday.
Lincoln park Binnys had a whole pallet of it and it was gone in an hour it never had a chance to sit on a shelf.

so a random store hoards a couple cases, keeps them buried, puts them up unannounced, and that = "was still on the shelf a few weeks ago??"

Yes. It does. Cause they were still on the shelf.

In any case, I had Prop last night and it did not live up to the hype for me at all. DB Hunah is way better.

...so I guess DB Hunah was "on the shelf" last Saturday.

    So now I have both.

I will say that the Peg's Coconut BA Stout I had on Friday completely blew away Prop when I tried them side by side....and I love Bourbon County.
