went to brew today, hooked everything up properly. Turned on the tank for a few seconds, then turned valve on the burner with nothing happening. Tank is half full.

I live in Portland Oregon now and it has been very cold. Could that be a significant reason for no fuel coming out? If so what have you guys out there done to remedy the problem.

    Thanks!

I live in Colorado, and the hot and cold fluctuations wreak havoc on my regulators.

Try putting the tank in a tub of warm water and not running it full blast initially

It is possible that the safety valve is engaged. When this happens, disconnect the burner, open up the burner valve to release any pressure in the burner. And then, reconnect the tank and try again.

Based on the OP's sequence though it should have worked...but when in doubt, pull the plug/alt/control/delete

Thanks guys! I proceeded with the kitchen stove which I will never do again. Might wait until spring for next batch.

What @wspscott said. I have had several tanks do this to me in the past, my fix was to shut everything down, disconnect the regulator and open the valve all the way, then crank it back down and reconnect. Make sure to trade that tank in vs getting it filled again.
