Propose my BA Barleywine Tasting Order

    Title says nearly the whole story. Here's what I've got.

    GI King Henry
    GI BCBBW
    Central Waters '12 BBBW
    Central Waters '13 BBBW
    Central Waters '14 BBBW (once it comes out)
    Weyerbacher '13 Insanity

    Would love to add Sucaba and Naked Evil but think these are unlikely sad to say.

    You need to find a Blendiculous to add to the list as well as a Sucuba/Abacus. You might be surprised by the former.

    Not really, buy in for home brewing with wife was giving up trading hahaha. Maybe one more trade will be ask forgiveness.

    Yea I know. I'm not a prolific trader, but my wife thinks I'm nuts, I have more been that I can possibly drink, it seems like boxes come and go every two weeks or so, it's expensive. I have a guy I work with who home brewed a DPA, 1st shot is tastes like Sucks. What are the odds?

    I think that this order you have listed is perfect if you reverse it. Also I'd try to get an Arctic Devil in there if you can!

    Have your wife pour them, she's neutral and the referee if she's not tasting, if not find a pourer.. No tasting IMO could be true if you have pre conceived notions, so eliminate them so that KH doesn't get points it might or might not deserve. My opinion of course.

    I'd say start with the king henry, your pallet will be fresh, that's what we did when couple of buddies had a tasting. followed by BCBW just to see the comparisons. then onto the BBBW. so basically what you already laid out

    Man, I wish I had the sufficient money and access to rare beer so I could trade for some Blendiculous myself :slight_frown::slight_frown::slight_frown:

    I don't know, I do more locals 4 locals than anything else. I'm not a whale hunter, and we don't get enough stuff here in NC to pull whales even if I was so inclined. I could have done the Mexican Cake thing in July, I was in MB, I didn't want to kill a beach day standing in line for beer.
