I'm always late to the hop party. Falconers Flight, 7Cs, Zythos, have been around for a while, but I haven't tried them. Is there a consensus on whether they bring something unique? I have a hard time believing.

I've never used any. I've had tasty beers in which they have been used. But for myself, I'd rather select things specifically. I typically don't use more than 4-5 varieties (usually 3 flavor/aroma + Warrior for bittering) anyway. Past that it seems like diminishing returns.

Never used them but I see them on sale more often than single-variety hops ... if you catch my meaning.

They're ok for what they are. I find them to just have a very generic "potent American hop" flavor/aroma to them. I prefer to blend my own hops. This beer http://www.beeradvocate.com/beer/profile/25327/78517/ is all Falconer's Flight, and folks seem to like it. Doesn't really do it for me, though.

It was sale pricing that prompted my interest.

I like FF and 7C. Both are very potent in the boil and dry hop. FF is tropical and citrus. 7c is Chinook forward with a blend of citrus and spice.

    Don't like Zythos.

I brewed an IPA with Zythos a few years ago. I don't remember the particular flavor profile but I remember enjoying it well enough. It had a nice richness; neither lacking in flavor nor aroma. I've brewed better and worse when blending other hops.
