Off topic question, but does anyone know if BA Speedway is hitting CA distro?

? Unless you personally know Gabe or Julian or somebody else who works at BBBQnB I just called and spoke with Vanessa and she says no way Jose. Only BBBQnB growlers. Maybe you know somebody there and he or she is filling up illegally? If so, thats cool.

Well it wouldn't be "illegal" because it's completely legal. That said, I too have been turned down there with non beachwood growlers. Still love beachwood though, great beer, lame policy.

Since you're homey's with them, have you ever gotten a good answer about their growler policy?

I don't believe so, unless they announced something new recently. It's been released as online sale in the past.

    Good question.

I would say no, but they currently are selling bottles of the late 2013 BASS out of the tasting room (leftovers from the anniversary party last Friday), so their is a minute possibility it does show up like the BAWH did last year. Maybe not a huge probability, but...

Here's for hoping right? I vaguely recall seeing BA Speedway Stouts on shelves about 2 or so years ago. Although, I may be mistaken. Thanks for the info dudes!

I don't know them at all. Perhaps the bartenders that do it are doing so because I typically go when they open on Sundays and very few people are in there? Or perhaps it's because that's when people who ARE actually friends with Gabe & Julian come in to get theirs filled (illegally or not) and they just accommodate me?

But regardless, if it's covered up it wouldn't be ILLEGAL, the law states that it just needs to be covered. Against their policy? Perhaps...I don't know...because it's news to ME that they don't do this as I've been filling my growlers from them like this about 3-4 times since the beginning of this year.

Next time I head down on a Sunday morning, I'll try to snag pics.

They distributed the BA Wee Heavy last year, but I don't think the BASS has ever made it out of the brewery. Of course, it is possible some stores might be reselling it under the table...

    Yes.....and the answer was "NO"
So until they change their policy then I will keep filling up with my 3 growlers.

I guess I will need to venture on down that large hill and grab a couple bottles if they have any left.

It would not surprise me if they distribute BA Wee Heavy since there was no limit on those and a two bottle limit on the BA Speedway this past weekend.
