I wish I could have tried it. An aunt of mine once gifted me with a Pete's Wicked Ales mirror that she had found at a garage sale or a thrift shop or something (my name is Peter). She didn't even know it was a real brand. Neither did I. I googled it and found the same mirror going for $100 on ebay.

One of life's weird moments for us was the first time our kids ordered a beer with dinner...fortunately both have good taste! Sonny boy worked in a liquor store for a few years and did a decent job building up their good beer selection. Called me a couple months ago - "you ever hear of Hill Farmstead?" was the query. He'd won a couple of growlers playing disc golf. Should have said nah, that stuff is terrible you best bring it to me, but I didn't. It was single hop Citra and Simcoe...he loved the Simcoe and actually described the flavors nicely, except he said peachy instead of apricot.

My dad hasn't been able to drink beer for about ten years now and there are many times I'd like to share one with him, so when my son comes to visit I have no problem opening up the "cellar" (it's more like a table in a cool spot, but whatever). Moments to share and remember.

Just cherish tossing back a few with your son. Plain and simple.
