Sometimes beer tastes funny to me. It's a phenomenon I've experienced multiple times over the many years I've been enjoying alcoholic beverages. I have come to learn that most of the time it's me, and not the beer that's off. Sometimes it's the beer, sometimes, but not usually.

When it does come here it goes to Bettendorf hyvee and hyvee liquor on w Kimberly in dport. When it does come I say you have a day tops to get some before it's gone.

Tried another Sue, now that is the beer I remember! Not sure what happened last week but it tastes good now. A touch more tart than last batch but it is the same world class Sue I remembered!

Are you sure you aren't mistaking bitterness with tartness? Tart is never a word I would ever use to describe any batch of Sue I've ever had.

Could be, just seems like a fruity tartness to me. I mean tart in the citrus tart sense.

Cracked one of mine last night. Tasted fantastic, as always. The only batch that I've felt tasted a little "off" was the one with the heavy sediment this summer. Everything since then has been top notch.

I have not grabbed this year's batch yet, but ill concur with the statements about the last batch with the heavy sediment - it was "off" once you got to the bottom of the bottle. I ran mine through a fine coffee filter and it fixed everything!

This batch tastes as amazing as ever to me. Nothing off at all. In fact, seems more dialed in, especially in the area of sedimentation.

Ironically when I had it on tap long ago I didn't like it or was expecting too much. I always passed up the bottles. My really generous beer guy gave me a bottle today. It drinks really nice. I have a new love for the beer.
