    I just got a case of the 3/12 batch of PtE from my father (since I'm out of the distro area) after I asked if he could pick up a few for me lol. I was just wondering how crazy he got with it since I would think most places would sell it for $10-15 a pop. What does a bottle typically cost in your neck of the woods?

    Surprising for such a highly desired brew.

    It's a very reasonable price for such a great beer. Sculpin should take note... ha-ha.

    PtE = $4.69 for 16.9 oz = $.28/oz
    Sculpin = $14.99 for 72oz (six pack) = $.21/oz

    Sculpin bombers are a good deal more expensive ($.35+/oz), but Sculpin can be had for cheaper overall. That said, I'd still take Pliny any day of the week.

    In CT Sculpin is $10-$11 for a bomber which is $0.45/oz. I have a co-worker that goes to California a few times a year and always tries to hunt out PtE for me and check it free with Southwest... ha-ha.

    I get it anywhere from $4.50-$5.50/bottle. Depends where I go. But $5/bottle is pretty much the price.

    This year its 7 bucks plus tax at most places now..
    Since I brewed a 17 gallon clone of pliny last year, I can't seem to pick up a bottle yet..I'm pilny'ed out:grimacing:

    Where are you shopping? I've never seen it for that expensive around the Bay Area.

    It's ~$5 a bottle around here and at the brewery.

    It's 4.50 at Whole Foods in the Bay Area, $4 at Bottle Barn, $5 at the brewery and most other places. One thing about the brewery is tax and CRV are included in the price, so it's cheaper than it might otherwise appear.

    I know this is a retail thread but I gotta mention it's only $3.25/pint during happy hour at the brewpub. Good thing I don't live nearby :slight_smile:

    One of the places that manages to keep it on the shelves longer than most has been slowly raising the price over the last 12 months or so. I was always amazed to see it at the low price of $3.79 but that has slowly creeped up, last Saturday we were up to $5.59 - putting this place at about the most expensive I see it. Thankfully Blind Pig has not kept up the same rate of increases (but it is not on the shelf as long, or as often)

    I've never seen Pliny over $6.50 in SD and even that is pricey. Most good bottle shops, including Whole Foods, sell it for right around $5.

    Well, I was including tax. There is a place in Sorrento Valley than sells it for around $8 and limits it to 1 per customer. They must get very very little and sell for a premium.
