I have lived in area for about 6 years now, from upstate NY (Tap & Mallet  originally. When I first got here I did Stephanies a lot .. then got into wine for a few years. Recently I have been going to MOM's, really nice place - they just did a "Beers for a Cure" event for families of children with cancer (https://www.momsmaxwellsonmain.com/about_us.html ).

A new place that just opened and that is really exciting is called Pag's Pub. My notes are below, welcome any thoughts on this and/or other places (I have also been to Mesquite / Mesquito Grill .. Bobby Simone's, Mugs ... Cheers!

Pags Pub notes: Doylestown, PA Link to "about us" page http://wp.paganinidoylestown.com/?page_id=26 ... family owned, sister wine bar (adjacent) and Italian restaurant (across street).

Pag's Pub: 24 taps, rotating, with menu that shows kicked (highlighted) and upcoming / replacements for kicked (3 currently) ... Growlers (branded) available for ... 11 of 24 currently ... Most $18ish ...

Whiskey menu ... Haven't tried. Seems pricey, normal. Ditto cocktails in general (even wine ). When there are craft beers on tap, especially with happy hour, why go the liquor route?

Food is ~ farm to table-ish / very good. One burger, grass fed, no GMO. Wood fired pizzas, my fave is a 4 cheese with chicken or prosciutto added on. I just had chicken kebab for first time and it was great. entrees are $10-13ish?

Decor is warm, lots of wood, airy front onto patio, nice peoplewatching and/or be seen spot. Music audible but not too loud. Couple TVs with high / discrete placement. Feels like a cozy local.

Probably ~ 30 people currently seated comfortable at tables and bar currently (Thursday at 7:30 pm). Indoors has a large "communal-ish" table that also seats large parties of 12ish, bar ~ 18, high stands (3) seat another 6, and patio ~ 16 ... So probably ~ room for 52ish to sit, plus SRO when busy?

I've only been to Mesquito Grille and Stephanie's, but preferred Mesquito Grille much more. More expensive, but the food was delicious and their tap selection was pretty good. I used to hit Stephanie's once a week with a buddy, but once they scaled back their club benefits we stopped going. We had some issues with the place to begin with and that was the last straw.

Now that I live further north I've only made it down to Doylestown once in the past year, and I stopped by Chambers. They're undergoing some renovations and the best they had on tap was Long Trail Pale Ale since most of the taps were shut off. The food was pretty good though.

I'd like to stop by Penn Tap Room at some point; perhaps next time I'm in the area.

What was the taplist like at Pag's Pub? I grew up near Doylestown and may have to check it out next time I visit my folks.

Hi, sorry, I had some problem with my password (read: user error:slight_smile:. I was just at Pag's Pub last night, had a lovely no GMO / grass fed burger out on the deck (lovely weather), enjoyed with a summer blonde (ale) from ... shoot. It was available in growler, which alas not everything is. I have a pic or two of their tap list, which I will try to figure out how to post - but fair warning, it changes pretty often. In fact, the structure of the list is 24 taps on left side; then once they are highlighted you refer to the right hand side, which (unless highlighted on the left) are "upcoming." Got that:slight_smile:? Actually it is pretty easy, and staff really friendly. I think the happy hour is 5-7, usually have "goblets" for $3-4 for a couple things, other deals? Again, don't quote me. Cheers, enjoy

To stmgl01 & all FriendsofDoylestownPA, in re the current Pag's Pub tap list, I have tweeted a pic from (at least) a few days ago. Apologies, I don't know how / if I can post photos to BA; still a newbie at this. Cheers, and thanks again to any who have taken the survey above (>1 answer OK:slight_smile:. Cheers, enjoy! @MattShields08: #PagsPub #taplist #BeerAdvocate #DoylestownPA warning: least a few days old, changes. I <3 Pags http://t.co/yobWhu0Cz0
