    This is the age we live in of craft beer, there are always lots of mules at limited releases.

    There is definitely a non-zero amount of mules there. To think there aren't any would be pretty silly.

    I disagree. Folks in the beer community tend to stereotype women and older folks at events like this as "mules."

    I'm guilty of this. Especially attractive women under 30. I just assume their boyfriend or brother has roped them into it, but I know that's pretty sexist and stereotypical. It's just my instinctual thought though.

    I guess my wife is a 1/2 or maybe 1/4 mule. She would never go if I didn't (or asked her too if I couldn't), she just doesn't care as much as I do, but she enjoys going and enjoys drinking the beer.

    I think this is probably where the majority of people we're looking at and thinking "they must be a mule" fall on the spectrum. They aren't clueless or unwilling, it's just not their idea or something they'd prioritize. But someone in their life does.

    They didn't sell out, everyone got bottles and some got more than their allotment? So why do we care if there were mules?

    If there isn't at least 1 page talking about mules or bitching about a release. The world would stop.

    There was at least one person there that was a local, only there for selling the beer. She was talking to a gentleman in line at the laundromat about how much she sold KBBS for. When he asked her why people would even drink it, she responded, "I don't drink them, I just sell them."

    I later saw her standing next to a car with a Mornin' Delight displayed on the trunk. It was fairly obvious she was either waiting for someone to show up from a previously set up sale, or looking to sell it to anyone who asked.

    A lot of locals are pretty brazen about reselling the beer. It's damn tempting given the prices people throw out there. I could put a new roof on my house with the TG bottles that are in my basement, but I refrain from selling because I have a pessimistic fear that I'll just end up getting catfished by Clark or Mike and get my mug club membership revoked and be shunned for life.
