I'm headed to PR soon and was wondering if anyone who is familiar with the area can suggest what to look for/where to go? I will be in the San Juan area with a car as well.

There's a brewpub in Old San Juan called Old Harbor Brewery that's solid.

Old Harbor Brewery is the local microbrew. It's also a steak and lobster house.

Taverna Lupulo and Downtown are two bars you might want to check out as well.

Here are the Trip Advisor links to all three:

For my money, the best craft beer bar in the San Juan metro area is Taberna Lupulo, in Old San Juan. If you want to drink local stuff, go to Old Harbor brew pub, also in Old San Juan.

Might also check out Downtown in Hato Rey, and Palmas Station in Catano.

Try asking the locals at The Black Eagle restaurant. Someone there might know.

Boqueron Brewery are making a HUGE impact for the craft beer scene in P.R right now. Makes me happy my homeland is getting on the map.

Currently they have Boqueron Coffee Porter which I can't wait to try
