I was wondering before I start drinking them, does anybody know what kind of barrels they use? I have a bunch of Cobras from when I first started getting into craft beers, before they started with the membership.

    Their website says bourbon barrels.

    That's a beer I haven't thought of in years.

Bourbon. I don't believe they ever gave a specific maker.

I'm going to warn you that most, if not all, of those PC's are probably bad by now. I did a little experiment with a five-year vert several years ago and they fell off hard starting with the four year old bottle. As I don't believe H24 has released a PC in over 3-4 years, most of your bottles are probably drain pours. For that matter, most other non-PC H24 beers are drain pours at this point as well.

Oh, and they dropped the membership in like 2018, so that's not a thing anymore for anyone that MIGHT have been interested in looking into it.

Pugachev Royale was a damn fine beer. Always looked forward to that release.

Anyone drink a Pugachev's 25-year recently? I've got one left and I think the last one I checked in on was at least five years ago.

The first couple batches of Royale were transcendent. The most recent one I tried (500 ml) was good but a bit too undercarbed for my liking.
