Just wondering people's experiences using wine pulp shippers

Never had a problem. It helps to lay a piece of large-bubble wrap in the bottom of the box because over time the shipping compartments can tear a little if you don't.

If you're talking about molded pulp shippers like these, in my experience they work very well. They're lighter than styro shippers, and take up way less space to store.

Cool cool, I've never used them before just wanted to make sure they were reliable. I didn't want any beers to break

Do you bag the beers in zip locks and bubble wrap them

Just curious I receive them in trade boxes but where do you buy them from?

I saw them online. Were beers in zip lock bags and bubble wrapped when you receive them

The best ones I've found are from Gorilla Shipper. They have somewhat high minimum orders, though, so if you're buying from them you might want to find someone else in your area to go in on an order with.

Thanks that is exactly what I was looking for. You are right a bit on the expensive side but if they come back in future trades they should last for some time. I only trade with regular trading partners so this may be a great investment.

I use them frequently. They hold up well and stack perfectly. They are also easily lined with a trash bag once inside a box.

Can you put smaller bottles in there and if so do they hold just as well

Smaller bottles will sit securely if wrapped in 2-3 sheets of bubble wrap.

I usually use one sheet of bubble wrap for regular-sized bombers. It's really about making sure the bottle sits snugly in the shipper slot – you don't want anything moving around in a packed box. If you can shake it and bottles seem to be move at all, more bubble wrap is needed.

Don't know if everyone has these types of places, but my local shipping place does PO Boxes, USPS, FedEx and UPS. I have made friends with the guy who owns it and he saves these kinds of things for me when he gets them. Sharing a couple beers with shipping people goes a long way...
