you mashing the pumpkin or adding to boil? From all accounts I have read of people doing pumpkin in boil it turns to soup but shouldnt be too bad since its not a whole lot. Spices look good, I now tend to use pumpkin pie spice instead of separate spices. Has a nice balance to it.

Adding to the boil at 60 min, hopefully it doesnt soupify! I happened upon whole allspice and prefer freshly grinding it to spice packets. Thanks for the reply!

Cant decide on ground ginger or fresh ginger root.... Any thoughts? Hoping .5tsp isnt too much either. I have OCD so round numbers satisfy that with me!

I would probably do a bit less pumpkin. Maybe 1.5 pounds. Ive heard its a bit off a hassle with that much, I always do less pumpkin and a good blend of spices in order to get that nice pumpkin beer smell.

Since I'm going off a porter style, I thought I more pumpkin might boost that flavor. Good to consider though!
