Pumking in Pittsburgh

    I know it's not the most popular beer on these forums, but after not really enjoying it last year I want to give Southern Tier's Pumking another try. It's funny because I see a ton of people talking about it on the main forum, but I have yet to see it in Pittsburgh. I'd like to pick it up when it first gets released, because this is one of those rare beers that the general public loves and actively look for.

    Has anyone heard anything regarding its availability?

    Hough's had it on tap about three weeks, House of 1000 Beers had it in bottles about two weeks ago. Hasn't been distributed here otherwise yet. Don't worry, I don't think you'll miss it. I love it, by the way.

    I make frequent trips back to Pittsburgh to visit my family. I can easily buy a case and bring it back. I know its pretty sparse around PGH. One store here in columbus already has 27 cases and will get more! It pretty good this year.

    Thanks for the responses guys. I'm looking for when Giant Eagle gets them. I'm surprised we haven't really seen it yet. Thought for sure it would be here by now.

    Pittsburgh got the bottles a bit later than other parts of the country last year. It should hit this week.

    Yeah it's just getting here super late again for whatever reason. I was at the House on Sunday and they had about four cases left. Save on Beer in Cranberry was pretty confident when I reserved my case of it that it'll be in next week but I don't know if they'll have much. And, yeah, I figure the Giant Eagles will start getting it in between now and next Friday if it's going to hit local distributors in that time frame.

    I wish I would have acted on this sooner. House was out late last week.

    Can't believe this hasn't hit anywhere else yet.

    Hell, it just made it's way to Vintage Estate last week. So the rest of the country got it anywhere between 2-3 weeks ago, but major cities just 3 hours away are still waiting or just now got it. Yep, I'll never understand the beer distribution system and how it works.

    save on beer cranberry got 80 cases that are all apparently already spoken for. ge wexford had a bunch 8 bottle limit. hoping to find a case somewhere tomorrow.

    Pop n Beer for less in bridgeville had like 30 cases that were spoken for. Found about 30 bottles @ 7.99 at Giant Eagle on Rt 88 near south park.

    I'm surprise this sells out so quickly in PA. Across the boarder here in OH there are cases upon cases sitting here for the taking. Have been for a couple weeks now too.

    Yeah, this stuff is everywhere, but it's selling quickly. There is a smaller Giant Eagle by my work in Southpoint. They had about 20 cases yesterday afternoon. I went there for lunch today and they were down to about 8.

    $7.99 a bottle and no limit.

    $14 and $15 is absolute thievery.

    A few places around here got Dogfish Head's, which is my favorite pumpkin beer. I'm going to wait until Giant Eagle gets it though. Will be the first time in about 5 years that I'm not buying a case of it.
