You guys have helped me before and I'm hoping you can help me again. I'm looking for a pumpkin beer and an Oktoberfest beer to mix on Halloween. I know I could get Terrapin's Pumpkinfest, but would like to do something different. I would like to mix a specific Pumpkin beer with a specific Oktoberfest style beer. Any suggestions?

Why do you want to ruin a perfectly good Oktoberfest?

I have done it before with Stegmaier's pumpkin and Oktoberfest and loved it. Want to do it again.

Id pick something real sweet like Pumking with a hoppier Oktoberfest or a more pumpkin flavor like Punkin Ale from DFH with a very malty Oktoberfest like DuClaw Mad Bishop.

I have tried Harpoon Oktoberfest with their UFO Pumpkin. Not bad. I am just not a big pumpkin beer fan.

Doesn't the Reinheitsgebot only have to do with what a brewer can put in their beer, not so much what consumers put in it after it's bottled/kegged/etc.?

The Germans don't seem to have too much of a problem with people mixing something else into already-brewed beer, anyway (what with radlers, flavored syrups in Berliner Weisse, etc. apparently being popular over there.)

Let's get back on topic. I'm not asking for any opinions besides what's in the OP.

With all due respect, and of course what you do with your beer is entirely up to you, but this doesn't seem like a very good idea. You might be trying a little too hard and are making drinking a lot more complicated than it needs to be. But go for it if it makes you happy.
