I love pumpkin but hate pumpkin beer...with one exception - Arcadia Jaw Jacker - I know that opinion will not be shared by many.

Southern tier Pumking is way too sweet. I thought it was awesome and tasted just like pumpkin pie for the first 2 ounces then the sweetness became cloying. If you can eat an entire pumpkin pie in one sitting, you might enjoy drinking a bomber of it.

I haven't had one this year, but some of my favorites last year were CCB Good Gourd, Weyerbacher Imperial Pumpkin Ale, and Hoppin' Frog Frog's Hollow (The BA version is a cool/unique BA take on pumpkin beers!).

Schlafley is my favorite. My wife and I have an annual pumpkin carving party every year on the Saturday before Halloween. I usually have around 12-20 different pumpkin beers to try. If any Marylanders care to stop by feel free to PM me.

I honestly think that ofallons pumpkin is slightly better than schlafly and pumking. However it's also lighter, which may be why I like it more...I can drink several throughout the night.

    1. O'Fallon Pumpkin
    2. Schlafly Pumpkin
    3. Pumking

I also had Tommy Knockers pumpkin from a friend who just recently picked it up in Colorado. I really didn't like that one. Probably because I am spoiled in the land of good pumpkin beers.

Yep - I believe it is new this year. It is very good, as is Penn Brewery's Nut Roll Ale.

Yes, they are. I had already preordered my cases 2-3 weeks from my distributor. They should be making more of it this year, too.

I would say thus far of the ones I've had:
1-PumKing, the only one I've had where you can smell/taste the graham cracker
    2-Weyerbacher Imperial Pumpkin
    3-Dogfish Head Punkin
After that it's pretty much a toss up. My local beer bar rims their glasses with cinnamon and brown sugar for Pumpkin beers, nice touch.
Also, one time they had both the Weyerbacher and Breakfast Stout on draft at the same time and I asked our favourite beertender to mix me a sample of half and half. It was delicious. Coffee Pumpkin beer. Try it.

Pukin? If that isn't an indictment I'm not sure what is.

A Pumpkin Ale without Pumpkin, that one always confused me.
