Pumpkin beer recommendations?

Shipyard and Schlafly

 

Schafly Pumpkin is one of the best pumpkin beers out there! Try it and you will know if pumpkin beers are your thing.

 

This was also my favorite pumpkin beer, Griffin Claw got the recipe and is now making it!

 

Havent found one good one yet but then again I havent tried Pumking or Punkin. Last year I had Long Trail Pumpkin and Brooklyn Post Rd and they were blah so I dont need to try them again this year. I dont like Shipyard Pumpkin at all.

 

So waiting for the Warlock!

Like a dingus, I read that it was one of the best after I made my post. I will be trying it very soon!

 

This indeed plus Weyerbacher.. Really do not like DFH Punkin at all , Shipyard is good..

 

Weyerbacher Imperial Pumpkin Ale would have to be my favorite so far because of it's drinkability and higher ABV. I like the taste of ST Pumking better but it's too sweet to drink a lot of.

 

Why didn't you like the DFH Punkin?

 

Best Pumpkin beer of this season is the Almanac Heirloom Pumpkin Barleywine. Absolutely amazing beer.

 

Honestly it was a few years back and just didnt seem to have the taste I like..

 

I think Punkin has the best combo of spices and pumpkin flavors

 

Pumking>Elysian Night Owl>Schlafly>Fegley's Brew Works Imperial Pumpkin

All 4 are great though.

 

Pumking, CCB Good Gourd, Shipyard Smashed Pumpkin, and while not a beer, Woodchuck Pumpkin cider.

Oh, and thanks to those who gave Almanac Heirloom Pumpkin Barleywine as a suggestion. Going to seek that one out. Pumpkin beers are like Pokemon to me, gotta catch them all.

 

My favorite is Weyerbacher imperial pumpkin but I I've only had it a few months old. Pumking is ok but too much spice and not enough pumpkin for me. Really want to try schlaflys, what's the usual cost on it?

 

I tried the Weyerbacher Imperial Pumpkin the other night and, I might be remembering wrong from last years batch, but does anyone else pick up a bourbon kind of aftertaste with this? It could just be me, and it's not a bad thing at all, I just don't remember it from last year. By the way, just heard Dogfish Punkin' is being put on shelves here shortly.

 

I got it in a trade with a guy in St. Louis last year, but if I remember correctly I think it's around $11.99. We don't get Schlafly out here in NC, but that pumpkin beer is worth another trade. I think you'll enjoy it.

 

Heirloom Pumpkin by Almanac is delicious!

 

Does this make it to store shelves?Been wanting to try this one for a minute now.
