Pumpkin beer recommendations?

Just had the new Pumpkin Barleywine from Almanac, kind of a cult artisnal brewery in San Jose. Quite tasty, though a big punch between the eyes at 12.5 percent ABV. That might be sort of hard to get if you're not in the immediate San Francisco area, though. My suggestion would be Pum-King from Southern Tier. I am no Southern Tier fan, but that is a great Pumpkin beer.

 

King Don's Pumpkin Ale from Catawba Valley Brewing is my favorite it's an NC beer and quite popular in the state.

 

Elysian Night Owl pumpkin has been my all time favorite. Liked that one even better than DFH. I thought that had the most true pumpkin flavor out of anything else I had last year, and I thought the price and ABV were both right on point. Hoping to get some more variety this year, but will definitely try to get my hands on some Night Owl again.

 

Someone hasn't tried Pumpkinhead.

Never had Pumking but looking forward to getting my hands on some this year. My local stores say they should have it mid-August. Elysian The Great Pumpkin is a favorite of mine though and I just picked up a four pack of Terrapin Pumpkinhead this evening to try.

Terrapin pumpkinfest was my favorite pumpkin beer last year. I am looking forward to getting some this year.

 

I'll always have a fondness for DFH's Punkin Ale but I would say Weyerbacher's Imperial Pumpkin Ale is the best I have had. Elysian's Night Owl, Great Pumpkin, and Dark O' The Moon are all pretty tasty.

That is my personal favorite......Stevens point whole hog pumpkin

 

I don't love pumpkin beers, but my personal favorite is Fisherman's Pumpkin Stout, followed by ST Pumking and DFH Punkin

Good god no. It's like the playing of Christmas songs in stores after Halloween- to much, to soon- no standards.

 

I would say Pumking's my favorite considering the first glass I had blew me away. Getting through the rest of the bomber, though, was a difficult task.

Once I had a Schlafly Pumpkin Ale with some pumpkin bread covered in pumpkin cream cheese, though, I was in pumpkin heaven. So Schlafly gets my vote, with Shipyard Smashed Pumpkin and Pumking being a close second.

Blue Moons Harvest Rotten Pumpkin Ale is really bad and should be avoided at all costs.

My favorite is Schlafly's Pumpkin Ale, but I also like Southern Tier Pumking a lot too. Honorable mentions to Dogfish Head Punkin' Ale, Heavy Seas The Greater Pumpkin, Weyerbacher Imperial Pumpkin and Rivertown Pumpkin Ale. I know there's other ones I like too, I just can't think of them off the top of my head.
